About Me
Hi, I'm Keli
No journey is without its challenges. I’ve always believed that whatever you give to God, He gives you back tenfold, TIME is no exception. I start every morning in my quiet time room sitting in my little taupe colored Velvet Chair, no matter how loudly life is hollering and pulling at me even at 5:15 am!
I liken myself to a cracked piece of pottery beautiful yet broken and flawed, yet still so usable!
By the end of the day, I often feel drained yet each morning, I ask, “Lord, what are we going to do today?” This quiet place in the corner of my home is where God seems to speak to me so loudly and clearly through my tattered green Bible, my journaling or my 1000’s of heard prayers. He’s so faithful each morning to heal my hurts, ease my worries, quiet my pain and share my joys.
He has challenged my introverted self to share what I have learned in hopes to bless just one person, SO here we are, I pray you are that one person!
My hope is to show you how God uses imperfect, broken, everyday people like me. And share with you all I have learned in this comfy little chair! I hope you will join me on this journey of vulnerability and inspire me with your stories of struggles and growth, while we learn and grow together.
More About Me
For the past 23 years, I’ve been incredibly blessed with a successful career in the real estate industry. Before that, however, I was a stay-at-home mom for 17 years.
When I was 11, I met a boy who became my seventh-grade sweetheart. We eventually got married many years later and somehow produced the four most amazing young adults that I constantly stand in awe of. They soon met equally amazing people they had chosen to spend the rest of their lives with, I have no doubt God created JUST for them.
Before we knew it, six grandchildren had come along and made my heart almost burst. These little ones now fill my proverbial bucket.
The Chair
The so-called “velvet chair” , my talented friend Lori actually painted this for me, it looks just like my chair. This is where I start each day, no matter what!
Bottom line I need Jesus more than I need sleep!
This is where I read my Bible, memorize several verses, pray, and journal my activities. This is the place where I feel God clearly speaks to me and gives me life directions. It is where He is so faithful in filling me up each day despite being a truly broken vessel. It’s amazing how He gets me through each day in this crazy world as things come at me.
This quiet place in the corner of my home is where God seems to speak to me so loudly and clearly through my tattered green Bible, my journaling, and my thousands of answered prayers. He’s so faithful each morning to heal my hurts, ease my worries, quiet my pain, and share my joys.
Your chair doesn't need to be Velvet....
Wherever you are today, in your car, on a walk, at your kitchen table or in the middle of a very messy moment, He is already there! He speaks in the ordinary, He meets us in the in-between. Even when life is loud! Jesus doesn't wait for perfect moments to meet with us! This chair is just an intentional place.
Whether your chair today is velvet, wooden, plastic, messy or metaphorical, I pray you find Him there. steady, present and whispering to you "This is the way: walk in it"
